Chilika lake

Alarnath temple
Alarnath Temple, located in Brahmagiri near Puri, Odisha, is a revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu, worshipped as Alarnath. The temple gains significant attention during the Anavasara period when the idols of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra from the Jagannath Temple in Puri are temporarily absent from public view for a fortnight. Devotees flock to Alarnath Temple during this time, believing that a visit here equates to seeing Lord Jagannath. The temple features traditional Kalinga architecture and houses beautiful idols and intricate carvings. It is a significant pilgrimage site, especially during the Anavasara festival, attracting numerous visitors.
